Peanut butter is a dieter’s dream. Yes, I know it’s high in fat but it’s the good kind of fat and it’s soooooo satisfying!
A few months ago I discovered that both Jif and Skippy have formulated an all natural peanut butter. I can’t tell you how thrilled that made me. I usually don’t like other brands of natural peanut butter because the oil separates and you have to keep it in the refrigerator. Then when it’s time to eat it, it’s too darn thick so you have to thaw it out. Too much work.
Now that Jif and Skippy both have all natural peanut butter available, I usually buy whichever is on sale and then I get to snacking away!
Peanut butter is good for more than just sandwiches. Here’s some ways I enjoy peanut butter…skinny of course!
Peanut Butter and Apple Sandwiches – This is sooo good. You slice an apple in 4 even slices and then you put a teaspoon of peanut butter on two halves, drizzle it with 1/8 of a teaspoon of honey and then create sandwiches out of them. Delicious.
Peanut Butter and Celery – Apparently, I’m a late comer when it comes to this one. Some will use a full tablespoon on a rib of celery but I use a teaspoon to keep it “skinny” and that’s quite adequate.
Peanut Butter and Tortillas – There’s a low carb tortilla wrap by LaTortilla Factory that I love. It’s only 50 calories and contains a whopping 7 grams of fiber.
Peanut Butter and Smoothies – This a great way to boost the protein in your smoothies. Since, I have a Ninja kitchen system (the best), I have recipes for all sorts of smoothies that deserve a boost.
Do you like peanut butter? If so, what ways do you eat it?
