I found the most wonderful invention and had to share it with you. It allows you to sort your laundry in just 5 minutes! In addition to this laundry sorting giant, I share with you my recommended stain remover.
In order to sort your laundry in 5 minutes (greatly relieving stress), you’re not actually sorting your laundry on wash day. You’re doing it as you take off your clothes. This way you don’t have to worry about being inundated with sorting or weeding through clothes that need to have a stain remover applied to them.
Neatfreak EverFresh Laundry Triple Sorter with Ironing Board
I bought this laundry sorting system about 6 months ago – one of the best household buys ever. As you can see, this laundry sorter has 3 buckets. As you take off your clothes each day, you’ll put them in the baskets as follows:
- Hamper Basket 1 – Whites
- Hamper Basket 2 – Blacks/Dark Blues/Deep Colors
- Hamper Basket 3 – Light Colors (Beige, Pastel, Grey, etc.)
The beauty of this sorting system is each laundry basket is one full sized load of laundry when filled to the top. No more worrying about how much to put in the machine. This is a perfect load of laundry for a medium sized washing machine.
On top of that, you have the ironing board on the top which you can use when returning from the laundry room. When you remove your clean clothes from the dryer, just put them right back in the sorter (which you can Febreeze after taking out the dirty clothes) and carry them back up to the base. Then you can iron them piece by piece out of the bags.
Keep your stain fighters right underneath and you can apply them as soon as you take off your clothes. The solution will stay on the clothes for up to a week, effectively removing the stain when it’s time to wash them.
How Did I Get Five Minutes?
If you follow this system of sorting laundry, it should take you no longer than a minute each day to put your clothes in the baskets. That includes if you need to add a stain remover. That’s 5 days of work clothes for you and your child or spouse. Then on Saturday, you wash.
Recommended Stain Remover
My kid always has large stains from PediaSure on his clothes. I’ve tried Shout Ultra Gel. I’ve tried Spray and Wash. I’ve tried OxiClean Versatile Stain Remover Powder.
Nothing has worked at completely removing the stain until I found OxiClean Max Force Gel Stick. This stain remover does exactly what it says:
- Lifts food stains
- Targets protein stains like grass and blood
- Binds to dirt and soils to suspend and rinse them away
